Apple officially announces iOS 16, iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura









 



Today, during the WWDC 2022 developer conference, Apple announced the new versions of its various platforms, namely iOS 16, iPadOS 16, and macOS Ventura.

 

 In iOS 16, there are no huge updates and the company’s focus was on modifications to the lock screen, where you can customize it and you can choose the color and font of the clock and date on the lock screen, as well as add widgets to it.

 

 You can also add several lock screens and move between them by dragging, and you can make each of them for a specific thing, such as one that is dedicated to work, and the focus will be on work applications only and alerts for these applications.

 

 The company also announced an important update to the iMessage messaging app, which is the ability to delete messages and the ability to edit any message you sent.  She revealed the feature of the ability to share family photos with family members, and after adjusting the settings for the feature and people choosing any family photo, it will be shared automatically, as well as with friends.

 




 iOS 16 will be available to iPhone users starting with the iPhone 8 this fall.

 

 The version of iPadOS 16 also did not witness huge improvements in general, but there were improvements in multitasking, as there is a Stage Manager feature, which will provide you with several applications on the side of the screen. You can drag any of them to the middle of the screen and work on it and move between them easily.  Move to the side of the screen and this feature will only be available to users of the iPad tablet with the M1 processor.

 

 There is also the Collaboration feature that will allow you to work with several people directly while talking to them on FaceTime, and they can edit the pages of Office applications directly and all the people participating in the conversation can see these edits.

 

  •  There are also some new features, such as the ability to modify the file format and know the size of the files. The final version of the update will be available in the fall of this year.
  •  As for macOS Ventura, it comes with the feature of using the iPhone as a front camera for your Mac computer without the need to connect any wires, and it will be through a small piece that will be available for sale.  Who do you talk to on FaceTime?
